The most scanned puzzle in the world has an author who said 58 words. The account saatoshi_rising was registered on bitcointalk on the morning of 27 April 2017, two years after the puzzle transaction, and posted once, 58 minutes later: no pattern, consecutive keys from a deterministic wallet, masked to set difficulty, a crude measuring instrument of the cracking strength of the community. That post is the collection's one hint. The profile's last activity is June 2019. Nothing since.
Everything else about this author is a transaction. The 2015 funding wallet received 32.9 BTC on the morning of the puzzle and never spent again. The 2017 sweep that raised the prizes tenfold spent a wallet funded on the morning of the post, 75 days earlier, which is the on-chain fact that ties the account to the coins. That wallet is on the record as an address because that sweep spent it, and the transaction is the source.
