Who this is

GSMG.io sold a fully automated crypto trading bot. Past tense. The front page today reads: the lights are off, nine years of chaos ended, one mystery remains, follow the white rabbit. The white rabbit is the puzzle, which they funded with 5 BTC in April 2019 and cut in half twice, once at the 2020 halving and once at the 2024 one. The halving transaction carries the word Halving in an OP_RETURN, so nobody has to guess what it meant.

No person is named anywhere the record can cite. The company published under its name and the record does the same.

What the record says

The front page, quoted, because a company saying it has shut down is the most useful fact about a puzzle it's still funding. Then the two transactions: the original 5 BTC and the second halving, which moved 1.25 BTC to the second address on the record. That second address holds the halved off coins. It isn't the prize, and the collection page says so.
