Who this is

A Reddit account named after a Danish philosopher. That's all we know, and the record doesn't pretend to know more.

October 2017. r/bitcoinpuzzles is basically dead. The announcement opens with "All (5 of you)", which is honestly the best opening line a subreddit revival could have. The pitch: a hunt of about 0.05 BTC, less technical than usual, so people from outside crypto can play too. Teams welcome.

Two weeks later the trivia brainwallet goes live. Twelve riddles, 0.04 BTC because the price went up in between. One clue asks for the year the author was born. The answer is 1813. That's Søren Kierkegaard's year, not the account holder's. Commitment to the bit, respect.

And then it was over in six hours. Quantris swept it, the author edited in a donation address for future puzzles and wrote "I want to make this a thing." Did it become a thing? Arctic Shift's copy of the account's posts has no second funded puzzle. So the dataset holds 1 of theirs, and it's a good one.

What the record says and what it doesn't

The donation address is on the record because the author named it. Nothing ties it to the prize wallet, so the record doesn't invent a link. The name is a pen name and stays one. No real name, no other platform.
