A writer on Proof Of Writing, the eCash site where you pay the writer in XEC to read the rest. Cain's Chronicles on X, @caincurrency. On the essays just cain, lowercase.
The puzzle is an essay from March 1, 2025, on the first version of the site. Community, engagement, trust, church on Sundays. No riddle, no instructions, just "a chance to win 5M XEC" in the title. Bold move, and nobody bit.
So on April 14, 2026 cain tried again. Same essay on the new site, the address on top, 25M XEC promised and one more hint: "It can be solved without ai or a computer". The X post that day said over 15M XEC was up for grabs. Then the deposits kept coming, and by the end of August the wallet held over 30M. Six times the prize for one essay.
It went at the end of August, and cain took it well. The article now opens with "The prize has been solved!!!", a link to the solver's post and the solution behind the paywall, seed words bolded and capitalized. 100 XEC to see how it was meant to be read. Fair price.
