Log
Posted SheHadTheIdeaWhileCombingHerHair and promised to publish the method once the creator made a new puzzle with the same rules.
bitcointalk.org/index.phpAnswered a doubt in the thread with the WIF and the bytes it decodes to, the 32 ASCII characters of the answer.
bitcointalk.org/index.phpCalled the method probabilistic and said a new puzzle would prove they weren't the creator.
bitcointalk.org/index.phpWho this is
A BitcoinTalk account that showed up in the Natasha Otomoski thread when it was all over. On August 21, 2019 the 1 BTC left the address. The next morning at 08:52 UTC akkort posted one line: SheHadTheIdeaWhileCombingHerHair.
3eroCold said that wasn't the answer. akkort answered with the WIF and the decoded bytes. The bytes are the sentence. Hard to argue with that.
How did akkort find it?
That's the fun part. A word list and a lot of guessing? Maybe. Nobody knows. akkort promised the method once blockladder posted a new puzzle with the same rules. Called it probabilistic, so more players would mean more chances. And a new puzzle would prove they weren't the creator. blockladder never came back, so the method stayed private.
What the record says and what it doesn't
Three facts, all posts in that thread: the words with the promise, the WIF, the probabilistic method. The prize went to 36T9H8hJP7xexevqayU9ADxGca7Y5dKquQ, and no post ties that address to akkort. So the record names akkort as the solver on their own word and the published key. It doesn't claim akkort swept the coins.
