June 3, 2019. A 9 mBTC block, because 2 plus 7 is 9. The question is FOG COOL. The post gives the digits c3d only, since the TOMI field "follows clearly and uniquely from the solution". Players protested. The author added the first digit of the solution, a.

Theories poured in. u/martypyouknowme had frozen creek, because each word sits 27 places after fog and cool on the BIP39 list. Checked here: fog is 722, frozen 749, cool 382, creek 409. Beautiful. Also wrong.

Atbash again

Hint one was one word: "Atbash." FOG COOL becomes ULT XLLO. Take the letters at the edges and you get UTXO. The TOMI field is unspent transaction output.

The claim confirmed at 13:59:06 UTC on June 4, about four hours after the hint. u/userm1010110 posted UTXO TOMI unspent transaction output. Their first solved puzzle, after hours and hours on Quizchain.

u/Crypto_Rachel called it a wacky jump from FOG COOL. And the author? A coincidence, but a cool one, that FOG helped hide it.
