The -gry puzzle, again
May 19. Block 7 named the coin after the "-gry puzzle", so block 10 asks it straight. "There are three common words in the English language ending in "gry". Angry, hungry, and one other word. What is the third word?" The post even explains the classic trick. The answer is "three", because it's the third word of the riddle.
The format is [solution] TOMI [TOMI], with three lowercase words in the TOMI field. Only one prefix this time, a5b, because the block would be too easy to brute force otherwise. And "a slight extra twist".
Ghost
Two days, no solve. Hint 1 pointed at the "Complete Quizchain" Wattpad chapter. Hint 2 said: same method as block 6. Go back to the previous block.
Block 6 took words from the previous block's mnemonic. So take the block 9 mnemonic: mutual return federal pole opinion discover mutual apple judge ghost piece invest. The third word? Not from the start. From the end. ghost.
The string is ghost TOMI previous block mnemonic. The claim confirmed at 14:22:26 UTC on May 21. It pays the same address as the block 4 claim. u/puzzleponky posted the answer seven minutes later and called it a triple twist. Block 6 method, a block 9 that was still unsolved when block 10 went up, and counting from the end.
The comments were not kind. "This is why these puzzles are getting ridiculous." Even the author called it "maybe the worst received in the whole experiment until now". Fair? Pretty fair. The "gry" question had nothing to do with the answer.
