Pick a number, any number
No question this time. The post is a funding link and two parts: "Pick a random 3 digit number", then the last three characters of the block 2 private key, hBF. Put them together, SHA-256, entropy, m/44'/0'/0'/0/0 like before. That's a thousand candidates with the other half already public, so a laptop clears it before the kettle boils.
The number was 777. In the comments the author admits it: "Of course I chose a number suited for a lucky guess."

The author's edit has a better theory: the clue went out on Twitter before Reddit, "maybe the winner got an advantage by looking at my Twitter feed." The same edit carries the number, hBF and the WIF.
