Put 0.02 BTC behind one tweet in December 2024 and was still dropping hints in the replies in 2026 ## Who this is Gem Finder by name, GemfinderOfX by handle. The [profile](https://x.com/GemfinderOfX) sums it up with an emoji: "I find Gems, if it's a gem I will find it and you will know 💎". That's all the record knows, and the handle stays a handle. The puzzle post adds one personal claim: "I've been in Bitcoin for many years now. And I've loved it." The prize address has history back to January 2021, but that doesn't establish who controlled it then. ## One tweet, 0.02 BTC [The 9vw04 puzzle](https://puzzles.agntn.dev/collections/9vw04) is the one the record holds. One paragraph, one address, the token `9vw04` and a grid of coloured letters and digits. Everything is "within this message", and the author keeps saying so. ## How Gem Finder runs it In the replies, one line at a time. Somebody guesses, the author answers. "WIF." "I don't really like rainbows." "Nope just your Brian and everything in the post." "Brian" is spelled that way in the post. In the follow-up to the January batch, the author adds that "the spelling is incorrect on purpose". The note doesn't identify every spelling it refers to. Then on January 13, 2025, a proper batch right under the puzzle. It's a WIF. Rainbows are a hint. Daniel Shanks, the creator of baby step giant step, is "very important here". The next hint preserved here is from March 2026: every Nth character, maybe a skip cipher. About fourteen months between those hints. Not necessarily fourteen months of silence. Who's counting?
